“Yeah. I had to leave that. I was supposed to do more with them. I love those guys. I love Tom [Cruise] so much. We had so much fun, and I love that character a lot. It requires a lot of time away. It’s all in London. I had to go be a dad. It just wasn’t gonna work out then,” Renner explained.

Following his decision, Renner focused on projects that allowed him to stay closer to home, including his roles in various Marvel movies. This shift helped him balance his career with his parenting duties, ensuring he could be more present in his children's lives.

“Maybe now that my daughter is older that could happen. I’d always jump into a Mission: Impossible anytime and back into Brandt. It’s great,” Renner said, leaving the door open for a potential comeback.

Currently, filming for the eighth installment of “Mission: Impossible” is underway but has faced some delays, including a recent halt due to a malfunctioning submarine that plays a key role in the movie.
