Could "Suits" Return As A Movie? Star Patrick J. Adams Says It's Possible

The cast of "Suits" and creator Aaron Korsh express interest in a potential reunion movie, keeping fans hopeful.

The legal drama "Suits" could potentially make a return to our screens, not just as a continuation of the series, but as a movie. This exciting possibility was hinted at by star Patrick J. Adams during the ATX TV Festival's reunion panel. Adams, known for his role as Mike Ross, shared insights into the cast's and creator Aaron Korsh's interest in reuniting for a film adaptation.

A Promising Reunion

At the ATX TV Festival, a nostalgic panel featuring Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Amanda Schull, Abigail Spencer, and executive Jeff Wachtel took place. When asked by a fan about the potential for a "Suits" reunion movie, Adams responded positively. Although Aaron Korsh, the series creator, was not present at the event due to his involvement in the spinoff project "Suits: LA," Adams conveyed that Korsh is interested in the idea of a reunion.

"I am a person of no power or authority, but obviously, there's a 'Suits: LA' show that is being made. That is the focus of Aaron, I think he would agree," said Adams. "But it's definitely something he's interested in doing, in trying to get the band back together. So it depends on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible? I think it is possible."

Cast Members' Enthusiasm

The enthusiasm for a reunion isn't limited to Adams. When asked if other cast members would be interested, Adams humorously replied, "This band member is down." Dulé Hill, who played Alex Williams, also expressed his interest in returning to his role.

This reunion discussion has certainly sparked excitement among the show's fans, who have continued to show their support and interest in the series long after its finale. The idea of seeing the beloved characters back together again in a new format is a tantalizing prospect.

"Suits" Legacy Continues

Adding to the excitement, it was announced during the panel that Season 9 of "Suits" will join the first eight seasons on Netflix starting July 1. This is a significant addition for fans who have been re-watching the series or discovering it for the first time on the streaming platform. The show's presence on Netflix has been a massive success, topping the charts for multiple weeks and amassing over 45 billion minutes of viewing time on Netflix and Peacock combined.

Additionally, Sarah Rafferty and Patrick J. Adams will be launching a new podcast titled "Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast." This podcast will allow the stars to revisit and discuss the series, providing fans with fresh insights and behind-the-scenes stories.

The Spinoff: "Suits: LA"

While a reunion movie remains a hopeful possibility, fans can look forward to "Suits: LA," the spinoff set in the same universe. The NBC pilot will feature Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg, expanding the "Suits" world and introducing new characters and stories.

A Glimmer of Hope for "Suits" Fans

The potential for a "Suits" movie remains an exciting prospect. The cast's enthusiasm and Aaron Korsh's interest are promising signs, even if many logistical hurdles remain. For now, fans can enjoy the complete series on Netflix and anticipate new content through the upcoming podcast and spinoff.
