VIDEO TRAILER BELOW ARTICLE:

The first teaser trailer for Suits L.A., the much-anticipated spinoff of the beloved Suits series, is here, and it promises a stylish and nostalgic return to the Suits universe. Starring Stephen Amell, the new series aims to capture the magic of the original while carving out its own unique space in Los Angeles' glamorous legal and entertainment world. Fans are already buzzing, thanks in part to the return of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and a familiar theme song.

A Glimpse Into the Glamour of L.A. Law

The teaser, exclusively revealed by Entertainment Weekly, is short but impactful. Stephen Amell’s Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor turned high-powered L.A. attorney, walks confidently alongside co-stars Josh McDermitt and Lex Scott Davis. The backdrop? Sun-soaked Los Angeles streets, iconic palm trees, and sweeping city views. But the real nostalgia hits when Suits’ original theme song, "Greenback Boogie," sets the tone, reminding fans of everything they loved about the fast-talking, high-stakes world of the original series.

Much like Suits fans remember Pearson Specter, the characters in Suits L.A. exude charisma and swagger. The teaser showcases sleek suits, high-powered deals, and all the drama fans expect.

What’s New in Suits L.A.?

Written and executive-produced by Suits creator Aaron Korsh, Suits L.A. introduces Ted Black (Amell), who has transformed his career after teaming up with old friend Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt). Their L.A.-based law firm specializes in criminal and entertainment law, representing some of the most powerful clients in the city. However, the firm faces a significant crisis that forces Ted to embrace a new role he’s long despised.

The series also stars Bryan Greenberg, Troy Winbush, and Alice Lee, with a cast that aims to balance fresh dynamics with the show's trademark chemistry.

The Return of Harvey Specter

Adding to the excitement, Suits veteran Gabriel Macht will reprise his iconic role as Harvey Specter in a three-episode guest arc. Macht teased his return on Instagram, sharing a video featuring Harvey’s signature style, from monogrammed shirt sleeves to polished designer shoes. Fans erupted when Stephen Amell responded to the post, playfully confirming Harvey’s return with the comment: “The Bat Signal does work!!”

The Legacy of Suits

The original Suits captivated audiences from 2011 to 2019, chronicling the partnership between Harvey Specter (Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a conman-turned-lawyer. With a cast including Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, and Meghan Markle, the series became a cultural phenomenon. Markle's role as Rachel Zane gained additional attention after her marriage to Prince Harry.

Following its streaming debut on Netflix in 2023, Suits saw a massive resurgence in popularity, breaking records and becoming a top-streamed series. This newfound attention brought the cast back into the spotlight, culminating in a reunion at the 2024 Golden Globes.

When to Watch

Suits L.A. premieres February 23, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. With its fresh setting, compelling new characters, and a touch of old-school charm, the series is poised to satisfy fans eager for more Suits drama. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a newcomer lured by its Netflix success, this spinoff is shaping up to be one of the most exciting premieres of the year.
